I had no income last year. I do have a 10 y/o child I take care of. Why am I not getting any money?

You need earned income to receive either the Child Tax Credit or Earned Income Credit for your child. If you did not have any income, there are no credits.

If you have no income, then perhaps another adult who is supporting the two of you should be claiming both of you as dependents.
