Question

I have a form 1098 but box 2 "outstanding mortgage principal" is empty. Turbotax is requiring an amount. Can anyone assist?

    Box 2 is the outstanding mortgage principle as of Jan 1 of the tax year (2024). If you got your mortgage at some point during the year, enter the amount as of the date of origination.
