Question

I have an overseas property how do I change the depreciation basis to 40 years (alternative depreciation method), vs the27.5 years (Straight line method) currently shown?

I have previously made an election to use the alternate depreciation method and calculate depreciation over 40 years, but can't see how to make this change in Turbo Tax

You need to tell the program it is foreign property. There is a drop-down box.
