Question

I have enetred expenses that the business did not reimburse me for. It is for mileage driven. Turbo tax says it is not an itemized deduction. Why?

They changes the law because too many people were abusing it.  Beginning in 2018, unreimbursed employee expenses are no longer eligible for a tax deduction on your federal tax return however, some states such as California continue to provide a deduction on your state tax return if you qualify.
