Question

I have mileage for work that i was not reimbursed for. When i entered my mileage turbo tax said i have a deduction of $1400. This was not included in my refund. Why?

Your Mileage Deduction would be included in your Itemized Deductions on Schedule A in your return.

 

However, if the Standard Deduction was higher than your Itemized Deductions (which is true for most people now), you would not be able to use your Mileage Deduction.
