I hold a mortgage and need to know how do I claim the interest made?
Where claim income from mortgage
You will need to enter the interest as if you had a Form 1099
Open your return
- Click on Wages and Income at the top of the page
- Scroll down to Interest on 1099-INT
- Click on Start or Update
- Enter the interest in Box 1
