I just completed my taxes here and e filed and noticed on the earned income credit I don't qualify because I am too old. What should I do?

If you are 65 or older and have no qualifying child, you are not eligible for the earned income credit.

 

This is the tax law, so you do not have to change anything.

The program did put the epic on my filing and added it to my state refund amount.

The EIC is computed automatically by the program and you either need a qualifying child  OR be over the age of 24  or  under 65.  Why do you think the program did it incorrectly ?

I am 73 yrs young, well over 65.
