Question

I'm missing my 1099 from my closing on our home sale that was a net loss. Have all documentation that shows purchase and sale price. Can't enter the loss amount?

You don't need to report your home sale, unless you have a taxable gain or you received a 1099-S. Did you actually receive a 1099-S?

If you didn't receive a 1099-S and you had a loss, then just don't enter anything.

Sorry -- you have nothing to enter about a loss on the sale of your home.
