I'm not self employed, but I work from home for my job. Can I take a home office deduction?

Possibly, if using your home office is a convenience for your employer and not you, then you would be able to take the home office deduction. For example, if your employer does not have an office in the same state, then you would qualify, but if you are working in the home office for your convenience, then you would not.
