Question

I'm putting foreign interest income in 1099-INT. The system does not allow me to use that for using foreign tax credit, it only shows 1099-DIVs not 1099-INT there

Can't seem to find a way to report a 1116 using 1099-INT for interest made from foreign accounts. The page says it allows 1099-INT and 1099-DIV but only shows 1099-DIV as an option when I try to select something for a foreign tax credit!

    TT will see the 1099-INT for foreign tax credit if there is an amount in box 6.
