Per the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond, moving expenses are not deductible on a federal return except for certain active duty members of the military.

There are several states that allow a deduction for moving expenses on the state return:  AZ, AR, CA, HI, IA, MA, MN, NJ, NY, PA and VA  You can enter your moving expenses in the federal software and the information will flow to your state return.

Thank you very much. I did put moving expense on my federal income return.  I understand federal income return will not deduct Moving expense but now, even on my PA return i did not see any deductions for the moving.

Review the questions in the Pennsylvania state income tax return at the screen Unreimbursed job expenses and Schedule UE summary and beyond.

There are many screens that tie the moving expenses reported on the Federal 1040 tax return to the Pennsylvania tax return.
