Solved

I moved to a foreign country in 2018, took some money out of my 401K, and did not get a 1099-R. Instead I received a 1042-S. How do I enter that data into Turbotax?

If you did not live in the US for all of 2018, you will need to file a dual status (part year resident and part year nonresident) return.

TurboTax does not support nonresident or dual status returns.

However we have a partnership with Sprintax offering a nonresident tax filing solution to our TurboTax customers.

Visit the TurboTax/Sprintax site for more info or to get started.

Sprintax will be able to assist you with reporting the 1042-S.
