I filed my 2018 tax return in Utah where I resided the entire year. I have not filed my 2017 tax return because I was not sure what state to file it in since I lived in Texas the first 4 months of the year and during that time I sold my home and went through a divorce. I worked in Florida for 4 months and spent the last 3.5 months in Utah while I looked for a job.

Texas and Florida do not have any state income tax, so there is no need to file a return in either of those states. You might have to file a part-year resident return in Utah. Check the Utah filing requirements.

On your federal tax return you use your current mailing address at the time that you file it, no matter where you lived during the year that you are filing for.
