Question

I need to remove the dividends for foreign owned companies like Schlumberger and Medtronic; Merrill Lynch has already included them in my dividend total.

Merrill Lynch has already taken care of the dividends so why are you not deleting them?

Provided the information is included on the Merrill Lynch 1099, there is no need to duplicate the entries.  You can go in and select the individual accounts or records and delete them.
