The Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) is providing tax filing and
payment relief to individuals by automatically extending the Illinois
income tax filing due date for individuals for the 2020 tax year from
April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021. Individual taxpayers can postpone
Illinois income tax payments for the 2020 tax year due on April 15, 2021,
to May 17, 2021. This deadline extension coincides with the dates for
filing federal income tax returns
