Question

I paid child support in 2016. How can I use that as a tax break? I did it before but never used Turbo Tax before

If child support payments were entered on a federal tax return in the past, then that was incorrect.

Child support payments are not deductible on a federal tax return.  Nor are child support payments entered as income on a federal tax return.
