If you pay Mortgage Insurance Premiums (MIP or PMI), you may be able to deduct it if you itemize your deductions. See Can I deduct private mortgage insurance (PMI or MIP)?

Your PMI is generally listed on your Form 1098-Mortgage Statement, Box 5- Mortgage insurance premiums.

I pay my mortgage insurance myself, where can I put it since it is not on my 1098 mortgage statement?

Mortgage insurance is referred to as PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) or MIP (Mortgage Insurance Premium). If you don't have a 1098, you can just include that amount in the total of the interest paid.
