Solved

I purchased my first home in November of 2016, but I did not make my first mortgage payment until January 2017. Is there any tax forms I should have received for this?

You won't have mortgage interest to deduct but you can deduct any real-estate taxes that were paid on your behalf at the closing.  This should be disclosed on your closing documents.   Other than that, there is nothing to report.

It's possible that you won't have enough to even itemize your deductions.
