Question

I received tax form 5498-SA but did not receive a 1099-SA, do I need to report anything from 5498-SA?

No, you don't enter this form into TurboTax; your account custodian sends it to you for informational purposes only. We recommend that you keep it with your tax return records.

Form 5498-SA reports contributions to your Health Savings Account (HSA), Archer MSA, or Medicare Advantage MSA.

You'll get Form 1099-SA if you paid for medical or other expenses from your HSA or MSA during the tax year. If you get a 1099-SA, click on Form 1099-SA.
