Question

I sold my home in 2019 for a loss that had the homebuyer credit on so I did not have to by it back. Why is my return getting rejected this year asking for form 5405?

I added the form 5405 to my return last year showing that I sold the home for a loss so I'm confused why they are asking for this.

the credit had to be repaid in 2019 even if you sold it for a loss.

just delete form 5405 in the 2020 return.
