Question

I started driving for Uber in 2019. Why is it asking if I took the standard mileage deduction in 2018. The car wasn't on my 2018 taxes. How do I answer this queston?

The choices it gives are yes I took the standard in 2018 or no I took the expenses for the car.

There should be a question that asks what your vehicle is and when it was placed in service for business.  Go back and make sure the date for placing the car in service was the first day you started driving for Uber.
