Solved

I support my grandson. He is on the autism spectrum, has ADHD, and OCD. Is he considered disabled? He functions in school but has an IEP based on IDEA.

It really makes no difference on your federal return as long as he is under 19.  There is no special deduction or credit for a disabled child.  The only reason you would need to check that would be if he was older because then you could continue to claim him regardless of age.

If there is some benefit fo a disabled child in your state, the state program will ask about it as oyu go through the screens.
