Question

I traded my business use vehicle in for a new business use veh in 2021. When updating the veh that I stopped using I'm not receiving a credit for the miles driven. Why?

I entered the miles driven for the trade and then added the new vehicle and entered the new veh mileage

When you indicate in the Asset section that you stopped using your business vehicle (with a date), Continue, and you will be asked about Business Miles for 2021 (screenshot).

 

You will then see a screen showing the Standard Mileage deduction for 2021, or you can indicate you want to take Actual Expenses (screenshot).
