Question

I turned 66 in 2023. Do I still get the elderly credit or is it just for someone turning 65?

If you are referring to the Federal Tax Credit for Elderly and Disabled, you must be at least 65 years of age to qualify. So, once you are 65, you meet the age requirement from then on. If you are referring to the extra amount added to the standard deduction, that also has a minimum age of 65 so you qualify from then on.
