Question

I want to know why I didn't get my full stimulus payment I had another in my household but I only was paid for myself and grandson and I took care of my nephew

I don't  think  that  is  fair I took care of him he can't  take care of his self he had a stroke  and it damage  his  brain  he can't  do  nothing

I'm so sorry for that. 

 

Unfortunately, the Treasury Department issued the parameters for the stimulus payment.

 

If your nephew was 17 years old as of December 31st, he would not fall under the dependent definition for purposes of the stimulus payments.  Please see the attached for additional information.

You only get a $500 stimulus payment for dependent children, under 17.  Even if your older dependent is disabled, you do not get the $500.
