Question

I was divorced in 2021. As part of the divorce settlement, we sold a home in 2022 that I bought prior to marriage but while we were living together. Do I pay taxes on her share of the proceeds?

    If it is in the divorce settlement, you are each entitled to the portion as stated in the settlement.  This is generally 50/50.  It should have been specified in the settlement agreement.
