If I did not qualify for child tax credit, will my refund still be withheld because they are on the return simply as dependents?

I thought I removed my children from the return because it’s their father’s year to claim them (TurboTax automatically inputs last year’s info), however I filed and their info was still there. (Thanks, TurboTax.) I went to amend it but it says the form won’t be ready until mid-February. I don’t qualify for EIC, or CTC, but I’m wondering if my return will still go through the process simply because my children’s information is on the submitted form....

No, your refund will not be held.  Since you have already e-filed, your return will be processed normally.  If your return included information about dependents or income that you should not have included, you will have to amend your return.  But that software won't be ready for a few weeks.

If you are the custodial parent, only you can claim the dependents unless you give the father (non-custodial parent) a signed 8332 Form.  With that form, he is eligible for the Child Tax Credit, but the custodial parent always gets the Head of Household status, EIC, and Child and Dependent care credit.
