If I had to purchase tools for work and pay out of pocket, can I claim that through Turbo Tax?

I had to buy both power tools and hand tools for work, but my company wouldn't pay for them. I have heard you can write these off in your taxes, am I able to through Turbo Tax?

No, unfortunately The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act eliminated the deduction for unreimbursed employee expenses in 2018 so you cannot deduct using TurboTax.
