If i refinanced my home in 2019, does that effect my taxes for 2020?

No.  Each year reports your taxable income and deductions independently of each other. 

 

All activity from 2019 should have been reported on your 2019 tax return.

 

All activity from 2020 should be reported on your 2020 income tax return.

 

For 2020, you probably received a Form 1098 that reports your mortgage interest and any property taxes if you impounded your tax payments.
