If I teach sunday school at my church on Sundays and Awanas on Wednesday night, can I claim that as mileage?

Yes, you can claim the mileage as well as any out of pocket expenses for your Sunday teaching school. They are deducted as charitable mileage and charitable out of pocket expenses:

In TurboTax, you may enter your mileage and out-of-pocket pocket expenses as follows:

  1. Federal Taxes
  2. Deductions & Credits
  3. Charitable Donations, select Donations to Charity in 2016; once charity name is entered,  select Mileage and travel expenses.
