Question

If my child was 17 in 2023 wasn’t I supposed to for the child credit instead of her being a dependent. I don’t believe I got the child credit for my youngest child.

You lose the child tax credit when the child turns 17 and instead you get the $500 credit for other dependents for the child.   If you entered income from working you should have CTC for the younger child.

Look at your 2023 Form 1040 to see the child-related credits you received
