Yes, there is. The IRS is very clear about who can claim a child as a dependent (see this link to IRS Pub 501; note the section starting on p.11): https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p501.pdf
If you believe you are entitled to claim the child, yet your ex files and claims her, you can still file a paper return by mail and claim her (if you attempt to e-file after your ex has filed, your return will be rejected).
Having received both returns claiming the same dependent, the IRS will send letters to both you and your ex seeking documentation to support your case. And they will decide who gets to claim the child.
A short-term alternative would be to e-file first, before your ex does, since the first return to be filed claiming the dependent will (barring other issues) normally be accepted. But that just becomes a year-to-year race and doesn't solve the underlying problem. If you believe you're the one who is allowed to claim her, then present your case and let the IRS decide.
