Question

If my office is located in New Hampshire and I lived there before moving home to CT for the pandemic (work mandate) - do I need to claim that I moved? (not permanent)

Is there a different way we need to file if we are just working from home for the pandemic? Still working for the same company out of NH.

You did not move. You kept your home and intention to return. You did not change insurance, voting, move stuff, etc. However, where is home? You said home to CT and then asked if you needed to claim a move to CT.

You pay taxes on all income to your home state, let's say CT. Since you worked in NH, probably had NH taxes withheld. Prepare NH nonresident first and then take credit on CT return.

If you meant you live in NH and went to visit parents in CT, then just file NH resident. A vacation does not count as a move.
