Question

If the mortgage page does not recognize my bank name, how can I enter it?

When I enter my bank name which holds my mortgage loan, it does not pop up as a choice and will not allow me to enter the name manually.  It just continues to give me the same options.

In the program, federal, deductions and credits, you enter your mortgage information.

  1. Click on Mortgage Interest
  2. Update
  3. Did you pay any home loans?
  4. Yes
  5. Who's your mortgage lender? Enter the bank name. I typed in total gibberish with no problems.
  6. Continue
  7. Tell us about your loan, None of the above
  8. Continue
  9. Details for 1098. Enter box amounts.
  10. Continue
