If you name someone as a child care provider what does that person need to do?

If you claim the credit for child care expenses, you must provide the name, address and social security number of the provider.  The IRS will then be looking for a tax return from the care provider, reporting the income.  That person's tax reporting requirements depend on their age, other income, and whether they worked in your home or their own home.  I can't be more specific without knowing more about the care situation and the care providers's other tax situations.
