You have to file a return if you had marketplace insurance.

How could you have ACA Marketplace insurance if you lived overseas ?

Yes, you can still have the insurance and have the option to come home for any treatment.

Did you receive any Advance Premium Tax Credit payments?  You would only have receive those if you had told the Marketplace that you estimated that you WOULD have enough AGI for the credit.
