Im confused about the deductions portion. It says that I have deductions of 9,300 and my refund is only going to be 1,838. and the EIC for a child is $251?

You must have filed as Head of Household.  The $9300 is the standard deduction for HOH, which lowers the amount of your income that you are taxed on.  It is not a refund.
