Is property/real estate taxes the same as City/County Tax-Deed or State Tax?

I think you are referring to "stamp taxes" as listed on your closing statement from a home purchase. They are not considered deductible property taxes since they are not calculated based on the value of the property. They are similar to registration fees, as opposed to taxes.

Real Estate Taxes are the property taxes assessed every year by your city or county property tax appraiser. As far as I know, there aren't any states I'm aware of that assess a yearly property tax. Only lower level taxing authorities assess a yearly property tax.
