Is section 8 considered subsidized housing on the homestead property taxes? Michigan State taxes

I dont know if i clicked the correct choice since i get section 8 i pay 127.00 as my part and subsidizing housing since i get section 8 but its giving me a hard time keeps asking on line 6 total rent paid in 2023 so i would put 127 x 12 = 1524 but it says line 6 should be blank im confused

Yes, Section 8 housing is considered subsidized housing. In Michigan, the Homestead Property Tax Credit program provides tax relief to homeowners and renters, including those living in subsidized housing like Section 8. Actually I spent over an hour on the phone with turbo tax and they couldn't help figure it out, because every time I put how much I paid out of pocket for rent for the 12 months it would tell me to remove the number of months and amount I entered but then it would take me right back and tell me to put it back in. It kept doing this over and over with no resolution. In the end I filed through a different service and better yet it was free and easy! Good luck hopefully they figure it out for everyone else who is affected by this issue.
