Question

It says I "You have a financial account in a foreign country". But, I do not. Why does it keep saying this?

There is a question that asks if you do own or control a foreign bank account, trust, or financial asset in 2023. Perhaps it was answered 'yes' by mistake.

To revisit that question, go to the Income and Wages section of your return. Then scroll to the bottom and click Done with Income. The question about foreign assets will come up in the next few screens.
