Question

It will not let me add dependent care for a child that was 13 years of age during the 2024 tax year, and received care while he was 13.

Yes, that makes sense because the care needs to be for a child under 13 for the credit.

According to The Ins and Outs of the Child and Dependent Care Credit, "if you paid someone to care for a child who was under age 13 when the care was provided and whom you claim as a dependent on your tax return, you may qualify for the Child and Dependent Care Credit."
