lam i able to deduct house insurance that comes out in my mortgage payments

    The cost of homeowner's insurance for your primary residence is not deductible or reported anywhere on your tax return.  

     

    However, if you are referring to homeowner's insurance for a rental property or for renting a portion of your primary residence, then that cost is deducted on Schedule E as a rental expense.
