The Standard deduction increased for 2018 so chances are your itemized expenses are no longer higher than your standard deduction.  The new Standard Deduction rates are as follows:

  • Single or Married Filing Separate $12,000
  • Head of Household   $18,000
  • Married Filing Jointly   $24,000
