Can someone tell me what kind of taxes are taken from payroll if you live in Oregon but work in Washington?

WA has no state income tax, so nothing is withheld for WA. But since you live in OR, you are subject to paying OR state income tax. If the employer will not or cannot withhold OR tax, then you should be paying estimated quarterly income tax to OR to avoid a big state income tax bill at tax time.
