Lived FL most 22. Sold condo in NJ 7/22. NJ as home for vote etc.Got FL license 10/22. Date FL resid? Jan 22 as I was living FL? date sold NJ home? or date FL license?

You would use the date you started living in FL with the intention of making it your home, as the date of residency.  

 

Since FL does not have a state income tax, if this was in January, you would not need to pay state income tax on any income you received after that, unless it was earned in NJ (or another state).  If you were going back and forth from FL to NJ and living in both places, then you would still be a part year resident for both states but your part year residency would end when you stopped staying in NJ.  

 

If you were not staying in the Condo and it was available for sale, the sale date would not be relevant for your residency.  Your DL and voters date is not as relevant as your physical location and intentions when you were in that location.
