Long Term Care expense deductions

My mother is in hospice care at home. In addition to the care provided by medicare she pays for home health aides for bathing and feeding since she is bedbound. Are these expenses deductible?

The amount spent on home health nursing services is a qualifying medical expense if you itemize deductions. The maintenance and personal care services are qualifying expenses as well since your mother is considered chronically ill.
