Memory Care

I am POA for my 97 year old mother.  If I or my sisters pay for her costs in memory care are those costs deductible for us?  If yes when are they claimed?  Under medical care costs or somewhere else???

    Yes, memory care is a medical expense. Only the person who pays the expense can claim the deduction.
