Question

MI State return - page called "Benefits from self-insured medical plans". I have insurance thru work. Where did I indicate self-insured? How do I fix? It won't accept $0

You can fix this by clearing the box. If you have no entry and click Back, the number will disappear from the screen Here's the income that Michigan handles differently.

If you received benefits from a self-insured medical reimbursement plan and your employer reimbursed you, you might be eligible for a Michigan tax break.

If these benefits were included in your income on your federal taxes, you may be able to deduct them on your state taxes.
