I work as a Direct Support Provider for disabled clients.  My place of work normally starts at my client's residence.  I understand that travel mileage is not deductible.  From there I often take the client to medical appointments, social activities, shopping, or activities that he wants to do.  My question pertains to that mileage, is it deductible?  I do not receive any reimbursement for that travel from my employer.

No, if you are salaried employed in 2024 you can't deduct vehicle expenses even if on work duty. If your employer reimbursed you for the mileage and they had an accountability plan wherein your accounted for your the business miles, you would not have to pay tax on the reimbursement.
