I entered my mortgage interest expense and property tax amount. On the Schedule A, the property tax was posted but the mortgage interest expense wasn't. Why is that?

There are several things that could have caused your mortgage interest to be omitted from Schedule A, but I'll make one likely guess. What did you answer when TurboTax asked whether the loan is secured by a property of yours? If the loan is not secured by a home that you own, the interest is not deductible. A mortgage loan is normally secured by the home that the loan was used to purchase.
